A Change for the Better
Several weeks ago, we adopted a cat. Just over three-years old, she's way past the kitten phase that would freak out our older cats. She's also an all-black -- like two of our other cats. (black and black and white cats have drawn us to them ever since our first tuxedo cat adopted us).
She's a lovely girl and has been adapting well. We know she came from a hoarding situation -- cats as well as things -- but we also suspect she wasn't always treated well. While still hand-shy, she now runs to us, eager to be petted. It may take months to ease all of her fears, but we're grateful she joined our household. Our five-year old cat now runs room-to-room with our newcomer, both having fun.
And she sleeps very well after a long day of play :D .
